The Sign In dialog box contains a “Forgot Password?” link. Click on it, enter your e-mail address and click “Accept.”

Can I access ASTM Compass when I’m off the VDOT network?
Yes. Anyone with a VDOT Virtual Library Card account has unlimited access to ASTM Compass from any connected device (including when you off the network, or using a personal device). Request a library card using this online form.

Can I share copies of ASTM Compass content with colleagues outside of VDOT?
No, that would be a copyright violation and a violation of ASTM’s terms and conditions for that database.

Can I download, print or share content from ASTM Compass?
ASTM’s license stipulates that all VDOT employees have unlimited access to ASTM and AASHTO content on ASTM Compass, however, that access is restricted to VDOT employees only. ASTM Compass gives you the ability to print or download copies of standards and other material in HTML and PDF formats. To share documents internally, we recommend you use the Productivity Tools (located in your profile), which allow you to create Bookmarks, Annotations and “Share” with a “Group” of other registered VDOT users.

Is there a mobile App for accessing ASTM Compass?
At this time there is no mobile “App” for ASTM Compass, however, VDOT employees can access ASTM Compass from a mobile device using the VDOT Library Card. Enter your library card credentials to get to the ASTM Compass sign in screen, then enter your ASTM Compass credentials to enter the database.
