Collections: Collections

The library's print collections include nearly 70,000  books, technical reports, journals, standards, maps and other hard copy formats. Request a Library Card and use our online catalog to discover and borrow items and access eBooks and digital collections from any device. We ship items to VDOT employees wherever they are located. 

Some of the most popular collections at the library are our P.E. Exam study materials. Study materials are kept up to date according to requirements set by NCEES, which develops and scores the FE, PE, and SE exams for engineering licensure. The library also supports VDOT employees seeking PMP and AICP certification.

We have a large collection of print journals, and online subscriptions providing access to thousands of electronic journals in business, engineering and transportation-related topics. This Core Journals List  has precise information on print and electronic journal holdings, and if you need us to scan an article use our Document Delivery Service.

These days there are many places to search for transportation information. Library subscriptions provide VDOT employees free online access to full-text standards, articles, eBooks and more.
