VDOT Bulletin Quick Start Guide: Browsing

To browse issues of the VDOT Bulletin, first start from the VDOT Library Digital Collections home page, then select the box that says "VDOT Bulletin 1934-2009":

This will take you to the collection landing page with a brief description of the collection. Click the blue "Browse" button at the bottom to continue:

Here you will find a results page with records of individual issues of the bulletin listed in order by date (starting with the oldest) along with several limiting facets on the left hand side (Collection, Date, and File Format).:

At the top of the results page are a number of browse tools described below:

1. Change sort order dropdown menu
2. List view/grid view results display
3. Number of results per page
4. NEXT results page
5. Jump To specific results page number

When you've located an issue you want to browse, click anywhere in the white result box to select that particular issue:

*Note- Records in the list display the following information (Publication Title, Date, Volume and Issue Number):

Once you open a selected issue you can navigate page by page by using the arrows to either side of the page display. You can also jump directly to a particular page by selecting from the individual pages listed to the right.

Finally, you can also navigate to a page directly by typing the page number directly into the box at the bottom of the page view and hitting the "Enter" key. You can also progress through the list of individual pages by clicking the navigation bar at the bottom of the page list.
