A quick start guide to using the ASTM Compass subscription database available to VDOT employees through the VDOT Research Library.

Already Have an Account and are on the VDOT Network?

With Okta and Single Sign On (SSO) VDOT users on the VDOT network should be recognized back into their ASTM Compass account with a single click. Here's what SSO access looks like:

Already Have an Account but are NOT on the VDOT Network?

If you are NOT on the VDOT network (such as accessing from a home PC or personal device) you can still get to ASTM Compass through Single Sign On, however, you will be prompted for your VDOT network credentials, which looks like this:
