Compendex: Quick Start Guide: Link to Full Text

A quick start guide for users of the Compendex database on the Engineering Village platform.

Clicking on the blue "Full-text" button will initiate an attempt by Compendex to redirect to other VDOT subscription resources. During the redirect, you should see a message that looks something like this. The process takes a few seconds:

A Successful Redirect

You should be redirected to the publisher's page for the journal. If VDOT has a subscription you should expect to the see the VDOT logo somewhere on that screen, in addition to an icon to download the article, as shown here. Every publishers site will look a little different.

Full-Text

The full text should load. In the case of ASCE it looks like this, however, the precise look and feel will vary depending on publisher:
