Engineering Workbench: Quick Start Guide

A quick start guide to using the Engineering Workbench subscription standards database, available to VDOT employees through the VDOT Research Library.

Step 1: Go to Engineering Workbench

From the Library Web site go to the A-Z Resources list and scroll down to the "E" section or select "E" to jump to section listing “Engineering Workbench” and click. Or click: https://library.vdot.virginia.gov/resources/engineering-workbench

Step 2: Enter VDOT E-mail Address and Password

First you will be prompted for your VDOT e-mail address, which was used to register your account, then click the "Continue" button:

Next, you will be prompted for your password. Enter it as shown and click the "Continue" button:

Step 3: Select Engineering Workbench

After you get in to the Main Menu screen, select Engineering Workbench to begin accessing standards:
