SharePoint infuses Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the mobile app experience to keep you focused and productive while on the go. That AI builds an understanding of what you are working on, how you work, and how your colleagues' work relates to you. Elements of the App will look and behave similarly regardless of device or operating system. More thorough support documentation is available from Microsoft.
NOTE: VDOT will be migrating pages from SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint Online between now and June 7, 2021. Users of the Mobile App will be able to access more content as it is migrated. The migration schedule and other FAQs are listed here.
You will start from the "Find" tab, which helps you search for expertise and knowledge across VDOT. You can return to the "Find" function at any time by tapping the icon in the menu at the bottom of the screen.
From the SharePoint Mobile App Home screen, these are the key features you'll see: 1. Search: Enter search terms where it says "Search in Sharepoint" to locate people, files, news posts or sites. As you type in terms relevant results will dynamically populate existing screen space.
2. News: The News icon lets you browse previews of your team's latest news posts.
3. Find: The Find icon is the same as "Search" and lets you search across all available SharePoint sites, including quick access to recent content and people you have interacted with, discover frequently visited sites, recent files and featured links installed by VDOT site administrators.
4. Me: The Me icon lets you find your saved content or see your profile.
