Cataloging, Collections and Technical Services
This quarter saw many small but significant issues related to procurement and requests for new types of documents at the library, all handled by Gil Kenner. That started with the resolution of several procurement challenges coinciding with the retirement of Dr. Amy O'leary, which involved support from VTRC Business Manager Donna Cognata and VTRC Procurement Officer Cynthia Perfater. The technical services department continues effort to acquire selected books related to Innovation, in collaboration with Natalia Cornwell in VDOT's Office of Strategic Innovation and this quarter we also worked with historian Ann Miller on requests for historical documents. Finally, we started exploring a purchase of the electronic version of the latest Highway Capacity Manual.
